Philadelphia based pizza restaurant, Rosa’s Fresh Pizza is feeling the love from the outpouring of kindness from the City of Brotherly Love.
A little more than a year ago the story broke that this Pizza joint was feeding the homeless in Philadelphia. Since then they’ve received an upsurge in their popularity on Facebook and in their businesses bottom line. What started as a helpful gesture to help a handful of homeless people has turned into an industry where he’s helping over 100 people each day.
The eatery basically invites customers to pay it forward and pre-purchase a $1.00 slice of pizza for homeless patrons. This generosity gained him notoriety in March of 2015 when Upworthy broke the story on the internet. Since then the story has been viewed over 35 million times.
The moral of this story may be that paying it forward isn’t just good for the recipients of the love, but it’s good for business.
