Curt Schilling crossed the line one too many times according to ESPN after they parted ways with the former All-Star pitcher due to his social media remarks about the  transgender community.
The Huffington Post has reported that ESPN said in a statement that Schilling had been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and that his employment as a sports commentator with ESPN had been terminated on Wednesday.
Schilling posted on social media on Monday a picture of a hairy man in a dress in response to North Carolina’s new anti-LGBT bathroom law and commented, “A man is a man no matter what they call themselves. I don’t care what they are, who they sleep with, men’s room was designed for the penis, women’s not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic.”
Schilling has declined to comment on his termination.
