Picture if you will a lively group of 20 somethings walking down the main street of anytown USA. Laughing, goofing off and reveling in the evening engagement. They turn into a small shop and you look up to find some obscure name. It doesn’t look like a typical cocktail lounge or martini bar. No, on the contrary, this is a juice bar. Like so many little clubs that have sprung up across the country, primarily in major metropolitan areas, one might expect that the
juice bars are the new bar crawl.
Funny as it might sound to people. Many of America’s youth are giving up the houch of yesteryear and are now finding the social satisfaction without having to bar hop. Trading it in for juice bars that cater to the new craze. Organizing events and gatherings to promote the new fad and proclaiming that
juice bars are the new bar crawl.
Across The Country Juice Bars Are The New Bar Crawl
Say what you will about this new craze or fad, but many millennials are ditching the alcohol of yesteryear for the clarity and good health they get from juice. Based mainly in major metropolitan areas, juice bars are working with social media and each other to promote juice crawls and other events to help make the idea more popular and it seems to be working. The popularity among millennials is the first thing to trigger a second look at the fad.
What used to be social suicide is slowly becoming the norm for many people tired of the expense and cloudy vision associated with alcohol. This group is not recovering alcoholics, although some of them might be. Instead they are mindful 20 and 30 somethings that believe that it’s more important to concentrate on their careers with a clear mind and conscious then to spend their evenings potentially making poor decisions so often associated with alcohol.
This is a different age than what many of us remember growing up in. Today’s 20 and 30 somethings are more concerned with the environment and personal growth than we’ve seen since perhaps the 60’s. In part, the craze may be fueled by poor economic times and the expense of alcohol. In part, it may be the mindfulness of this group. In part, it may be the anxiety that this generation sees coming out of the insecurity of government and the workplace. Whatever the reasons that fuel this new movement one thing seems to be taking root across the country
juice bars are the new bar crawl.
